The Skimmer - Sailing Out Of Cape May / Wildwood & Stone Harbor, NJ
Join us on board “The Skimmer” for a truly unique adventure on the beautiful back bays of Cape May County, NJ. Our highly experienced crew will guide you as you discover the amazing nature of the pristine and protected salt marshes that are part of the Cape May Coastal Wetlands Wildlife Management Area.
On these eco-cruises, you will be amazed by the amount of life that a salt marsh can support. Over 400 species of birds, more than 300 species of fish, and even more marine invertebrates inhabit New Jersey and many of them call the salt marsh their home. Whether you are observing and photographing a “life bird” to add to your list or holding a blue claw crab for the first time, you will discover why these ecosystems are vital, not only to the survival of the animals and plants that live there, but also to ourselves.
Our trips are fun, educational, and led by experienced crew members with backgrounds in Ornithology, Marine Biology, Ecology, and Environmental Education.
Trips depart from either the Cape May Inlet Marina (on Ocean Drive between Cape May and Wildwood) or from The Wetlands Institute (in Stone Harbor). All trips are on calm, protected waters on board The Skimmer, a 40 foot eco-tour pontoon boat that is U.S. Coast Guard inspected and certified.
Hop on board and experience why our eco-cruises are considered one of the best nature outings at the Jersey Shore!
